Ensembles
Marching Band
The Pride of Falcon Nation Band consists of students from all three concert ensembles and includes freshman through senior classifications, as well as the award winning North Forney High School Colorguard. Marching Band begins with a Skills Camp in May, followed by summer band during the months of July-August, which all participants are require to attend. Once school starts the Marching Band rehearses Mondays after school and Tuesday-Friday mornings. The Marching Band performs at halftime of all football games and competes throughout the fall in local contests and UIL events.
Symphonic Band
Conductor: Ryan King
The Symphonic Band is one of three concert bands in the North Forney band program. The Symphonic Band meets during 2nd period and is made up of students from all grade levels. The Symphonic Band focuses on refining instrument playing skills and performing quality music literature. Members of this ensemble participate in the TMEA All Region/State process, all marching contests, Solo and Ensemble Contest and all spring concert festivals. For UIL events, the Symphonic Band is the “Non-Varsity” band.
Percussion
Director: Colin Crouch
The North Forney High School percussion program serves more than 25 students in the program. In 2019 the North Forney Indoor Percussion Ensemble advanced to the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio, for the first time and earned the title of silver medalist for the world concert percussion division. The NFHS percussion ensemble was selected as a 2020 Percussive Arts Society International Percussion Ensemble winner in addition to being invited to perform at The Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference that same year. The group also has 3 consecutive North Texas Colorguard Association championships and is the current title holder in the concert world class. Percussion students participate in weekly sectional rehearsals in addition to their regular band commitments, and most students have participated in the private lesson program.
Wind Symphony

The North Forney Wind Symphony is the premiere instrumental ensemble at North Forney High School. The Wind Symphony meets during 1st period and is made up of students from all grade levels. Selection into this group is by audition, director recommendation, and demonstration of academic integrity. Members of this ensemble participate in the TMEA All Region/State process, all marching contests, Solo and Ensemble Contest and all spring concert festivals. The Wind Symphony will perform many concerts throughout the school year and during the month of April is a participant in the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest. This group is designated as the “Varsity” band.
Concert Band

The Concert Band is one of three concert bands in the North Forney band program. The Concert Band meets during 3rd period and is made up of students from all grade levels. The Concert Band focuses on refining instrument playing skills and performing quality music literature. Members of this ensemble participate in all marching contests, Solo and Ensemble Contest and all spring concert festivals. For UIL events, the Concert Band is the “Sub Non-Varsity” band.
Color Guard
Director: Tre Brown
